 to sin, miss, miss the way, go wrong, incur guilt, forfeit, purify from uncleanness

Definition does not fit so well with "purify from uncleanness"...Translators only used 2 time for "the act of purify" out of 238 times, 236 times it is used to describe sin or missing the mark... ???

I was wrong! It's used 13 times to denote the act of purging purify... still doesn't make sense to me though!

Odd thought...sin = death.  Sin brought death into the world.

The Lord also said the life is in the blood.

So reconciliation restores life??
